Salutations! I’ve been dog obsessed since childhood, and now I'm a dog professional and nerd. I have a senior Golden Retriever/ACD mix named Hershey who has experienced a wide variety of challenging behaviors. As we grew together she led me to learn as much as I could to help us interact with the world without growling and lunging toward other dogs. I also co-parent a four year Korean Jindo Mix named Apollo. Working with a primitive breed who’s prey drive is difficult to manage and food drive is low has helped me apply my experiences to similar dogs who can struggle with training.
In my free time I enjoy spending time in my canoe with my dogs, camping, and hiking.
I have a longtime interest in psychology and, before COVID, was in school to become a Therapist. Since diving into the dog world in 2020, I found myself seeing learning theory in action amongst the animals in my care as well as filling my knowledge bank with dog behavior. My goals are high but I’m still learning new things every day from the mentors around me and I try to price my training accordingly.
